A built-in FordPass Connect modem* takes your Ford Kuga experience to the next level. With a host of useful features, including onboard Wi-Fi††, enhanced in-car navigation, and real-time traffic updates‡‡. Locate your vehicle, lock and unlock the doors, or if you have a vehicle with an automatic transmission, even start the engine remotely. And in the event of an accident, FordPass Connect can automatically send an eCall (emergency call) to the emergency services and let them know where your vehicle is. If you own a Kuga Plug-In Hybrid, the FordPass app delivers even more features exclusive to PHEV. View your current battery level and driving range; monitor your driving and power usage patterns; locate public charging stations and set preferred home charging times. You can even pre-set your cabin temperature ready for a departure.
The dynamic Ford Kuga interior design gives you the ultimate freedom to adapt to every journey. Clever use of space gives you a generous 612-litres of boot space. Need more storage for a big trip, or prefer the luxury of extra leg-room in the back? The flexible rear seating slides forward or backward to suit your needs, increasing the rear storage capacity by 67-Litres when forward – so you’ll have no trouble packing anything you need.
Wherever the destination, the Ford Kuga Plug-in Hybrid uses two sources of power to get you there more efficiently. An advanced electric powertrain lets you make shorter trips of up to 56 km on zero emissions§, and can recharge anywhere you have access to mains power. For longer journeys, the conventional combustion engine ensures you can go as far as you need to, using powersplit technology to help recharge the Hybrid battery as you drive. While energy captured through regeberative braking also helps to extend your electric range even further. Kuga Plug-in Hybrid is available to order for 2022 delivery.
Ford Co-Pilot 360 combines a range of technologies that, together, work to make your driving experience more comfortable and enjoyable. Adaptive Cruise Control automatically adjusts your speed based on the vehicle ahead. The system can even recognise speed signs and adjust your cruise control speed accordingly. Lane Centring technology can provide steering assistance by following road markings to help keep you positioned in the middle of your lane.
Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection uses camera technology to scan the road ahead. If a collision risk with a vehicle, pedestrian or cyclist is detected, it’ll then provide you with a warning. If you don’t respond in time, the system can automatically apply up to full braking force to help reduce the severity of, or even eliminate, some frontal collisions.
